I was reflecting the other day on what I am doing with my music releases and this website and am aware that it may not be so clear what I am hoping to achieve. Well, for me this is my journey, building an archive of ideas and music I have been writing over the years and exploring new ideas.

As I am quite eclectic in my tastes and in the influences on me, the music I release is likely to widely differ.

There is a reason I am not a well known musician and artist, and that is because I have always been quite a solitary person – I have written music that I like, and if others also like it – then that is a plus. Melody is important to me, and I hope that I have managed to write some nice and memorable tunes.

I have been in bands, Vizual Ettiquette and Sloan Square East in the 80’s and guested at sessions in and around Bradford and more recently Sheffield. And I generally leave that era as it is – as a memory – with some of the threads of that music intertwined in the more recent pieces I have written.

Collaboration

I’d like to work with some musicians, and though in the current pandemic this isn’t easy, I think that working on something with others can be a great healer. So if you are a musician, singer or film maker/visual artist that needs someone to collaborate with – please get in touch.
